This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ground Investigation Engineer looking for a varied role in a growing company. Working alongside other site investigation crew members you will be reporting to Technical Managers and Directors.

This growing SME is a specialist consultancy that operates within the insurance sector providing solutions to a wide variety of geotechnical problems.

Despite the recent pandemic they have continued to see an increase in work volume and with strong growth plans in place they are looking to recruit a Ground Investigation Engineer. In this role you will have responsibility for preparing phase 1 and phase 2 site investigation reports together with managing sample collections ,on site equipment and your own van. You will be liaising with clients to discuss and interpret the results of your findings.

We are looking for candidates with an excellent academic background, preferred subject areas include Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Geology.

The Role:

• Completing trial pits, boreholes and dynamic probes

• Installation of deep datums, inclinometers and piezometers

• Logging of soils and rocks

• Completing and recording drainage surveys

• Completing site investigations across the UK with occasional overnight stays as required

The Person:

• A keen problem solver

• Experience of operating rigs

• Degree in civil engineering/geology/geotechnical engineering/ engineering geology

• Someone looking for a diverse and challenging role where they can develop technical skills

• Driving license
